TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE: HOW TO REDUCE FOOD WASTE WITH MEAL PREPPING

So what's cooking? Well, let's be honest, we need to do it better. We're talking about food waste. It happens at all stages of the food supply chain, but most of it is generated at home in the kitchen. That is why we have listed the following tips for you in order to prevent food waste and to get several meals out at the same time. A win-win.

1. THINK BEYOND
You definitely know it when you scroll over Pinterest or Delicious Magazine in search of a new recipe. Social media can certainly help you find a new recipe, but instead of choosing a dish that leaves you with a kilo of parsley, choose recipes for a week with the shared ingredients. For example, you can use the products more often or you can go for 'remix recipes' where, for example, you use leftover vegetables in another omelet. YUM.

2. KITCHEN INSPECTION
Before you go shopping, it is important that you make a list. We know, not a life hack, but it really makes a difference. Take a good look at what you still have in the kitchen and what you do not have to buy. Try to keep the products you already have as long as possible in closed jars to prevent buying new products.

3. PAY ATTENTION TO PORTIONS
Nobody wants to eat the same food every day, so make sure you measure how much you are going to make so that you don't enjoy your pasta bolognese for seven days. Use your creativity with the leftovers you have from the day before and see what an inventive meal you can make from what's left in the fridge.

It may seem difficult at first, but once you master this skill you will save a lot of time while you contribute to reducing food waste. What do we want more?
